Which one of you posted this? Hey, FFD, change the settings so we can see these important things. How are we supposed to know who to make fun of!? I mean, seriously.

Clearly we have a problem.... If i admit to writing that post to take the heat off FFW i run the risk of insulting SJ for mixing up an adjective with an adverb... but if i let FFW take the heat you may think that as a teacher our next generation of children may never learn to speak correct.:-P

So you think I should find another job? It would be my pleasure to stay home and be a wife and mother! But all in due time(Did I use the right "due" SJ?)

FFD - So you won't take the heat, eh? ;) CorrectLY!

DK - Duh, he just changed it!

FFW - You forgot the . after the (). Oooh, picking on people's English is fun!

Wow, apparently I have gained quite a reputation as the grammar gestapo--even when I am not around people watch their words in fear. If things continue going this way, I will soon be able to retire and allow Ezzie to take over my job. :)

umm ezzie that was a joke i did that purposely hence the :-P after it... I contemplated putting it in caps but i figured only an imbecile wouldn't get that i was kidding considering that even Mati would agree "that just doesn't sound right" :-P

SJ: Wow, apparently I have gained quite a reputation as the grammar gestapo

No SJ you simply have learned and joined the ranks of us healthy Grammarians, (I still compete against my brother for grammarian of the week every shabbos... as FFW will confirm there is not a shabbos that goes by where a fight concerning syntax, pronunciation, or vernacular Doesn't break out between my brother and ME <--Joke!!! ezzie please dont point out that it should be "I" it was written that way intentionally ty)

:::sigh::: I know you did it on purpose, hence the ;) .

This is what stinks about humor in writing. Nobody understands one another. (Not that anybody seems to get it in real-life, either...)

I'm glad to know that I am not the only "healthy grammarian" around here...I have clearly found the right crowd to hang out with (or, if you'd prefer "with whom to hang out")--except DK, of course.

And, um, FFD, since there seems to be quite a bit of confusion regarding the humor here, maybe once again I am missing the point...but shouldn't it really be "between me and my brother"?

I sure hope you're both asleep by now, but in case y'all see this: Bring plenty of Powerade, and smile when walking down the aisle! It's a serious time, but more importantly, it's a time of simcha!

Have fun! This is gonna be awesome...

(And FFW - you have to wait until tom night, sorry. Then you can become FCW or something.)

I'm going to sneak in rather late here but, SJ - "but shouldn't it really be 'between me and my brother?'"

I've always been taught that you put yourself last (but not as a grammar thing, as a polite thing, so I have no idea if the rules are different grammatically). So then it would be "between my brother and me." =D
